In Arteixo, the men’s team finished seventh out of a total of 16 countries in the International Trophy, while the women’s team achieved a hard-fought eighth place.
Noticeable progress
The delegation of the Andorran Motorcycling Federation (FMA) has concluded its participation in the Trial of Nations in Arteixo, Galicia, with results that confirm the good progress of Andorran riders on the international scene.
The event, held on Sunday, tested the participants' abilities on a particularly demanding course, consisting of 15 technical zones and featuring a significant presence of large rocks.
The day began with dry terrain, but rain arrived around 1:00 PM and transformed the competition conditions during the second lap, especially highlighting the consequent loss of grip on the ground due to the water.

9 points from 6th place
In the men’s category, within the International Trophy, the team formed by Quim Altés, Edgar Garcia, and Jordi Lestang, with Francesc Ciurana and Valentí Cristina as support, completed a very solid performance. The team, which started at 9:10 AM, finished in seventh place among 16 teams, with a total of 104 points.
In the end, Andorra was only nine points away from the sixth position, held by Austria.
In any case, the obtained result is even more valuable considering the teams that Andorra left behind: the Czech Republic, Ireland, Australia, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal, and Luxembourg finished behind the Andorran team.
Eighth place for the girls
In the women’s category, Èlia Pascuet and Alèxia Lladó, with Lluís Capafons as support, also had a notable performance. The two riders started at 9:42 AM and completed two laps with a final result that placed them in eighth place (275 points).
As mentioned, the conditions of the zones, naturally very complicated due to their high technical difficulty, became an even greater challenge with the arrival of the rain. Despite this, the women’s team managed to complete a demanding day and position Andorra prominently in the international classification.
Overall, the results achieved in Arteixo confirm the good evolution of Andorran trial. Both the men’s and women’s teams continue to gain experience and competitiveness in a discipline where the differences between the main powers are increasingly tight.
